Default My Friend Killed my Ex-Car...RIP 1994 MTX Taurus SHO :(

That'* right. My old 94 SHO opened it'* secondaries and breathed it'* last breath Saturday night. MY buddy, that bought it off me back in july, was crusing down the highway coming back from a Halloween hayride when she started to go into cardiac arrest. She was pinging and moments later came horrible rod knock and NO POWER. He limped it off the highway only to see coolant everywhere. Probably the rear headgasket bit the big one along with spinning a bearing, or two, or three...Anyways. She lived a good 199k miles. She almost made it to the 200 club too. Poor Poor SHO. After the accident I had back in April she just started to go downhill after that. And hte accident was while she was parked. Took the $2700 bucks from that and ran like hell . Sold her off to my buddy a couple months later after picking up my SSEi for dirt cheap (basically paid for by the SHO'* accident money). So on she went to my buddy who needed a car to get to wrok. he knew what the car needed mechaniaclly too and he still beat the livin **** out of it. Kinda pissed at him actually. The car still had some life and plenty of potential left in her, but he killed it...

Actually, just got off the horn with a frend of mine who'* possibly willing to snag it from my other freind for like 200 bones. She could be born again, but we'll wait and see. We've got access to many SHO motors and might get her back on the road, but we'll see. Might not even be worth it.

RIP Ex 1994 Green MTX...199k miles...You will be missed, maybe. L67 Powa!!!

What do you think is faster your bonnie or your ex-SHO. When i was looking for my first car, those are the two i narrowed it down to. We found a deal on an SSEi near me and couldn't pass it up.

3800 swap? lol j/k. Some of those Yamaha motors with a manual can be damn fun!

Oh yes, there are one hell of a hoot to drive, especially the manuals.

As a comparison I'll give you a little info. My SSEi is basically stock. My buddy has a 95 automatic SHO with a few mods. I was behind him from a 40 roll the other night after fixing my wheel bearing, and he BARELY started to pull from me around triple digits. And as a reference, my 5-spped SHO was pretty much dead even with his modded automatic. I'm not far from squashing my SHO'* acceleration on the highway after the pulley and CAI are done this week. Out of the hole it'* no contest. The L67 just has gobs of torque that the SHO just didn't have. In a 1/4 mile battle the two cars totally stock should run about the same at the end, with the SHO pulling higher trap speeds. IMy SHOwould get stomped out of the hole, but come back to either tie it up or just nudge ahead by inches at the 1320 foot mark. This was not a street-race post, but rather just answering a question from Beckstyle.
