You should be able to get an Aurora for a pretty good price...I found a 95 that was loaded for $3800 with just 100k on it...just hafta look the deals are out there...also try autotrader...or if they have those car swapper books where you are those are great too...

You may want to elaborate on what you need the car to do, price range, performance characteristics, fuel economy, generation [years you are interested], Fuel Injected, Carburated, etc...

Honestly, the best place to look is in your local newspaper--or the next larger town, depending of the size of the area you live in. It'll take weeks and a few million phone calls, but often times if you call about any car you are interested in you will find something to buy outright in general. Plus, you get to deal with people, so you get a general idea if the person is trustworthy, how the car'* been cared for, etc...

Oh, I forgot to say, I was in your place last October, looking for a car that was nice and that I could buy outright. I was looking at everything, even Saturns. But mostly, I spent my time calling on Grand Prixs, Grand Ams, Aleros (V6 ones are pretty nice) and even the occasional Cavalier (which I never ended up liking).

Nothing wrong with the Classic Aurora as long as you can afford the premium fuel and extra oil the Northstar requires.

If you want a Classic Aurora, go for a later build, spend a bit more and reap the rewards of a later build model. Most still have extended warrenties on them. Bang for the buck there is NOTHING on the road that looks and has the presence of a Classic Aurora.

I basically equate the 95-99 Aurora to the 00+ Bonneville with features and options, the 2nd gen Aurora is a more affordable Cadillac, and similarily powered. And it has the peppy V6 option instead of the VTEC"ish" nature of the DOHC 40L V8.

Good luck with the search.
