Default Cell Phone Acting Stupid

i called tech support on my cell phone because it would keep forgetting my security code, thus leaving my phone totally disabled. they tell me to enter this in, and retrieve the code:

*3001#12345#

well, that didnt work, and i just ended the call, frustrated, not only because they didnt know what they were talking about, but because i had a hard time understanding them <why go overseas? >. i was digging around, and found out that that code wouldnt work on a Nokia 1100 <which is what i got>. does anybody know of a similiar code like that that would work for the 1100?
