Default Car buying is a PITA

Every decent car (or at least seems like its decent without any problems) have ether been sold, is too old, or has some problems where if you try to tell the dealer of that problem they refuse to budge with their goddamn price (Fsk You Tom Peck Ford of Huntley!!!)

No decent Bonneville within a 200 mile radius of my area, they are ether in fsking Michigan or one of the coasts or in fsking Florida where old farts live. This summer, there were Bonnevilles up the wazoo, there were 2 on sale in Fox Lake and within a month both of them were gone. But we couldnt buy one cus we already had 3! A Caddy which my dad drives and uses practically 24/7, my terminal Bonneville, and a rusted out POS Taurus from 88 which my mom barely drives cus she is scared of it since its so old except for grocery runs thats 3 miles away. Now when I need a damn car because school will be starting and I need to go back to work there isnt a decent one around! I have to go to bumblefsk USA to find one and my lazy *** folks wont go the distance.

I hate dealerships and I hate every dealership salesman alive because I havent found one who was not pushy or rude or annoying or would just stop talking oh so damn much. ANd I also hate thd people who bought the Bonneville first before I could because they dont know how to handle the boost like I would.

Weren't you the guy with the transmission problems?
You might just as well cut the loss of replacing the tranny.
Cheaper than buying another car with unknown problems.
At least you know your present bonne quite well.
And if you can afford any warranty on the trans, that much more peace of mind.

SIDE NOTE - You mentioned Taurus? Stay away from those. You think you have transmission problems now...

I'd have to disagree. spending 2000 into a 13 year old car is not always worth it when the body/engine/suspension has 200K on it, and you can buy 2 for the cost of a tranny.

The dealer i bought mine from tried to tell me i had a 3800 under the hood, i had to tell him different and then explain to him that the 98 Intrigue across the lot had one, and when they changed engines and all that jazz....i think he really learned a lot, and then i bought the car...

im still deciding whether buying this car was a good idea, i do miss the 3800.

What exactly are you looking for? Year, mileage, price range, etc.

Ummm, we had the Taurus since 1987 so telling me now to not buy it aint gonna do good. :P And it was a damn good car with no problems on top of that.

I'm looking for a 96 SSEi. I dont want to have to change the transmission every 100,000 on the 97 and later models even though there are 3 within a 20 mile radius. Since my folks want me to drive a GOOD car they wont let me buy an old car like the 93 SSEi for $2,000 I was looking at earlier. Anywhere around $5,000 and 100,000 miles is a worthy candidate.

I'd love to have that 96, but besides that CCR is not functional it has been in such an accident that there was frame damage, although that has been fixed. The ******* refused to go below $5,600 even though that the car was overpirced by a thousand dollars in the first place, not counting the problems and accident history. To me that car is worth $3,400, so FU Tom Peck.
