to each their own I guess, but every time I see one of those, I throw up a little in the back of my mouth. This time is no exception.

It had a lot of potential as a concept, the El Camino was such a cool car, and still is, and as was said, this attempt at bringing it back was awful.

I have to agree w/the people who disagree on the SSR ;) Looks kinda like a new Beetle on steroids w/a truck bed!!! I guess if the stance were a little better and a little lower it wouldn't be too bad. I think the wheelwells could have been rounded off a bit better and the tire size(not rim size) could have been a bit smaller w/a lower stance.....JMO ;)

i too throw up in my mouth a bit when i see them

it disgusts me even more that someone can have a car for 2 years and only put 200 miles on it... what a freakin waste!

But what's the point? A Convertible RWD vehicle designed as a truck but can't haul anything like a truck. Kinda just has a huge trunk... :?

It's just a toy... a possession... a cool cruising vehicle. Who would want to haul anything in it anyways? it's too nice to be put to work. Sometimes, things don't have to have a meaningful purpose.

quite true....

I kinda wonder why I hang on to my bonnie after dumping as much $ into it as I have

Prolly because it was your Grandpa's :idea2:

BTW..................

Nice cruser

Somebody buy me a SSR, plez?

SSsuperchargedEi 10-14-2006 10:50 AM

do you know if it was a 6-speed? those are pretty rare, but its probably safe to drive it more because i dont see the SSR gaining any collector value...

Lol... I think it's great that someone can OWN something just for the sake of owning it. It will be worth money someday (so he hopes) by keeping it new/mint/not used. He wants to pass it on to his son...he views it as an investment, not a car because of the limited production.

I do have a hard time relating (however I don't throw up over it) because I've never had "disposable" money where I could buy something that had no purpose whatsoever. So I just accept situations for what they are for other people, as unrealistic as it may be to me.

I can't remember if it was a standard or automatic... I rode in it once last year and was busy playing with the buttons and checking out the interior features.

Cool to look at but I would never buy one! Hey GM the Prowler failed why did you think this one would not?

It Reminds me of a Suppository gone wrong.... (although 90% of GM's new vehicles are disgusting)
