They're easy to spot around Flint. I would never pay that much for that car though. It'* a buyers market...they'll never get that much....maybe they'll get half that...

International series is not all that rare. Look for the flags under the badges on the sides of the car. We used to have an 89 XC Special Edition Ciera with the 3.3L in it and my neighbor had an 89 XC Sppecial Edition International Series with the 2.8, and there are plenty in the junkyard. What is sorat rare is the fact that it is 2 door and leather interior. That you don't see much. What is even more rare is the 2 door convertible ciera. Can't remember the year for it, something between 85-89.
Edit: Found it. 1985. This would be only the second on I know about. The first I saw in Carlisle, PA a couple years ago had a maroon top.

t'* very fast and fun to drive, and handles great, due to the F41 suspension setup, which was also found on Eurosport Celebrity'*.
For anybody who doesn't know, Celebrity Eurosports were highly regarded for there handling capabilities.
The Ciera convertibles, as well as the other 3 GM A-body convertibles, are very rare.
If your lucky enough to find one in good shape, hang onto it, as they are sure to be very collectible.
My Ciera convertible is one of only 54 built for the 1986 model year.
None of the A-body convertibles left the factory that way.
They were all sent to an out of factory conversion company to be done over.
They all originally started life as two door hardtops.
For the 1984 and 1985 model years, they were converted by the Hess & Eisenhardt company.
For 1986, which is what my car is, they were done over by the Car Craft Company, of Lima, Ohio.
