I miss rwd...
Today I was driving along in the gf'* Intrepid and had a Miata with its top down in 55* weather get infront of me. Not only did it get infront of me, but it came from the opposite side of the road of the two way, two lane road, and SWUNG onto the road. He basically powerslid across the street, and then realized he was sliding WAY too fast and ended up in the grassy shoulder on the right. THAT was followed by a large smack in the head from his GF lol. He couldn't quite keep them broken loose it didn't sound like... sounded like he blipped on the clutch to keep the traction from grabbing.
Either way... it makes me miss the Grand Marquis :(. I think thats the most fun thing I'd ever done while driving, and could be done on any wide open back road. I once remember throwing it into a power slide and I kept it going back and forth for a good hundred and a half feet. Given that it was a one wheeler peeler, that was fun .
Another talent that it posessed that I LOVED... I went down a mile and a half of snowy road, fish tailing/'drifting' the whole stretch from point A to point B. I wish I would have video taped it.

I'm in the Grand Marquis, Best friend is in the TT, other good friend is in the Z. Volvo is a friend of a friend, the rest of the people were random rednecks visiting lol... the jeep won. I got everyone in a circle and I drifted around them three times... but SOMEONE FORGOT TO HIT THE RECORD BUTTON. That was two years ago...
Anyhow...

GF'* mom has that 05 avalanche... I wonder If I can convince her to let me 'run to the store' lol. Nah... I wouldn't mess with anyone else'* vehicle like that without permission. Can be hard on the drivetrain... but her after market exhaust sounds gooood.

Time to take out the 3.0L V6 RWD Aerostar and see what it can do! I accidentally drifted it once while taking a right turn. We have new tires now, so that'* good.

Drifting a van sounds scary. I have seen a stock aerostar to a pretty respectable burnout though, left like 20 ft dual stripes. I didn't think they had any form of LSD.

Mine doesn't do burnouts. The Aerostar you saw probably had the 4.0L V6 that Ford puts in everything. I tried accelerating on the highway one time, and a friend of mine told me he felt time slowing down. The interesting thing about it, though, is that it has a mean R gear.
