I was surprised at all the controversy over Daniel Craig, as I thought he was great in Munich. Not that Munich and Casino Royale are similar films, but I thought he portrayed a macho, strong character quite well. I haven't seen the new movie, but I'm sure he was a great choice for the new Bond.

Didnt need gadgets, in fact the past few Bond movies relied waaay to heavily on computer animation, gadgets and over branding. In fact, its to bad for Brosnan, because he is such a great actor and was a great Bond...its to bad he finished the way he did.

As for Casino Royale, I thought it was spot on. The only "stretch" was the on-foot-chase scene in Madgascar ending up at the Embassy...man that guy sure could jump...lol.

Craig seems capable of being the next Bond, and it was pretty cool to see the way Bond as a character evolved to the way he is (seeing that Casino) was the start of the series. I'm excited for the next film with Craig...blond or not, Bond is back, and Craig did it well.

I think that it was a great bond film, but i will say i was disappointed that it left out the "classic" bond elements... no bond girl intro song and in the end of the movie bond didn't "get the girl". other then that, it was top notch to me!

Ya, the girl he wanted dies, so now we understand why future Bond stories have him as such a playboy. The girl he "loves" dies.

Bond has never loved since then....this Bond was more emotional, more vunerable, more violent and more viceral. I'm glad all the over innuendo was gone. Gotta admit I laughed hard when he said "you'll be rememberd as the guy that scratched my balls"

ya, i got to admit he was pretty witty in that scene... and now that you mention it it does make since that because he loved so much in this movie that he never again did in the others...

that guy could jump, and i loved the fully automatic nail gun, must be an italian thing

we should put spoiler warning or something in the title so people dont get the movie ruined...just a thought ;) cough petraman cough
