Default Hail Damage

Not sure if this is a repost.

This happened the same night as Penhold and south Red Deer got hailed out this past summer.

Subject: Boeing 727 vs Hail storm

This is an old Boeing 727 after landing from a flight over Alberta , Canada on Friday 10 Aug 2006.

On a night flight, around 11PM, Canadian 727 aircraft 705BX was cruising at 35,000 feet when it encountered hail the size of tennis balls. The pictures below show some of the damage. All landing lights were destroyed, as was the radar. The crew was forced to make a nearly "blind" night emergency landing. Upon safe return to the ground the first officer and flight engineer quit. It is expected that the aircraft is a total loss as its structural integrity has been compromised. The ol' Boeing Tri-Motor/Three-Holer made it through though.

I can say, that Hail storm was not NEARLY as Severe in Red Deer as it was in small surrounding communites to the South East (Calgary is 85 miles south of Red Deer)
A coworker'* Parents' house saw severe damage from that storm, along with others, I drove out to the Hamlet were they live the next day, the road still looked like it had snowed, road signs, everything was almost pumled into the ground.
Mother nature can sure kick some ***

Yes, before you dump too much into your car, think about priorities.

I got my house with garage before I started serious modding.
