its differnt so right now i kinda like the way it looks but this whole conforming thing is dumb.
we should go back to the good 'ol days and run stock cars, but safer than they did...
i know that can't happen but...w/e
i like the raised spoiler and the bumpers, if gives the cars a bit more character, but its going to get old after a while. i just don't like how they are all the same aside from stickers.

actually, right now, they're all the same except for the stickers. i fail to see the difference betwwen the current cup car and the COT.
aside from the numerous safety advantages the cot provides a level playin feild where the driver become much more important to a win.
and if you want stock cars, only safer. SCCA is your only option.

Personally, I think the COT looks like a toy, and they def. look too much alike. Yeah, the regular Cup cars are very similar, but you can spot differences.
My biggest thing is that most drivers don't like the COT.
The thoery of a level playing field is true to an extent, but the teams with more money (and more cars) will come out ahead just like they have been. Look at this year alone, COT races have been dominated by Hendricks.

The body is very different. On the old cup cars, they werent even close to symmetrical at all. The trunk/spoiler was all canted to the left (IIRC) to catch more air in the turns, etc..
Frankly i'm all for the COT. The spoiler is finally a real aerodynamic piece, other then a piece of metal sticking off the trunk, they're more symmetrical ala a real factory car.
I do think that some factory things should be included, maybe have the basic nose shape on the car, and wheelbases, suspsension designs, etc. It works in every other motorsports series for the most part... I also think some more technology should be brought into the sport.
On the money issue, toyota is DUMPING money into R&D and it hasn't gotten them anything. Exactly what they've done in formula 1 for a few years to no avail.

You're right about Toyota'* money, but they are new to Cup racing as well, so you got to take that into consideraton. I was referring more to Hendircks, Roush, etc..
But you are def. right about Toyota
