i noticed a little bit of talk in the other thread regarding the C.O.T. and was wondering what everybody who cares thinks.

I like it. Seems a little more like the real thing instead of something like a mother ship driving around down there. A little more squared off instead of being rounded on the front.

If i could put it this way..............The car of tomorrow should be "history"! ;)

please feel free to elaborate on your responses. i'd really like to see not only what you feel, but why.

Just can't pass judgment after two short track races. Not nearly enough variety to see how much the racing and/or safety has improved. Waiting for the mile and a halfs and 'dega to see how things work out there.

Nascar needs to change their cars IMO. There's no innovation, there's nothing tied to production.

I'd say let Engine size be determined by what's available by the car on the market, and make the cars have to have atleast the same wheelbase and what not of their street counterparts. Perhaps have more similar body lines (not steel though obviously).

I think they need to keep racing in the rain, similar to F1, have a wet, and intermediate tire.

Jason, they had a 'wet' tire two seasons ago.

Something about rednecks in hotrods and the rain. They couldn't keep themselves from pushing the limits.

i'd been toying with this idea myself. bring the cars back to a pure stock racing. the problem then is all the safty features added to the cars would make them much like they are now.

i love the idea of using at the very least the stock block and heads from the production motor, but it would be detrimental to the sport IMO if the cars went from carbed v-8's to MPFI 3.4s and whatnot. not that anyone would care but they simply wouldn't be as fast.
i'd love to see it happen, but it won't.

in the begining the equilzer was the fact that all the cars were factory stock. this is no longer the case. the only way in my opinion to create good racing is to make all the cars exactly the same. that way the drivers have to win, not the cars.

this i beleive is what the C.O.T. does.
