Car Names

Just out of curiosity (yea, i'm planning ahead) just want to do a poll on which name you guys like better (i've already got it picked, just curious on "what the people say" haha) It's for a 2000 SLE or SSEi

Jim W 05-26-2003 11:44 PM

You already know my vote

Hailey 05-27-2003 12:03 AM

Getting a '00? You won't be dissappointed. :beerchug:

And I thought my husband and I were the only ones that named cars anymore...seems like no one we know has named theirs. Ours is Aeraeik (a character from my hubby's latest novel). Anyone else name theirs?

How is that pronounced??My 95 is called Gone Hollywood.

Jim W 05-27-2003 12:29 AM

mine has been dubbed Red Light District

Hailey 05-27-2003 12:47 AM

It's pronounced "air-ray-ick"...it's supposed to be an alien language translated into English; my hubby writes Sci-Fi.

willwren 05-27-2003 01:18 AM

My current car is Bert. Ernie was my Buick that got totalled last year. My 98 Z71 is Bruno. My utility trailer is Matilda (waltzing matilda).

I have kids.

That is sooo cute! Most guys are way too macho to let their kids name their cars...way to go!

willwren 05-27-2003 01:42 AM

Are you saying I'm not Macho?

Huh?

Don't make me take a star! You're on double-secret probation now.

I get no respect around here.
:?

Hailey 05-27-2003 01:46 AM

Well, I only have one, but you can have it if you want it.

willwren 05-27-2003 01:48 AM

Geez, nobody takes me seriously any more either. Whazzzup with dat?

:?:

I'll let you keep the star for now, but I may cut it in half

Hailey 05-27-2003 01:55 AM

All fooling aside...you rock! You can take my star any day, as long as you let me stick around to absorb the knowledge from you great folks. :biggrinangel:

Drifter420 05-28-2003 04:23 PM

You know which one I voted for.. that's a gimmie

Mine is named "Siyar" like in medieval nobles refered to as.. spellin is wrong.. but o well.. that is also the name of my first born son if I ever feel like having a kid.. having Muffin takes up all my attention not to mention keeps me young and pirky ( or jaguarish and Spunky as she would say ) as it is.

Cavalier was named "baby Blue"

other cars I can't remember.. but I remember my first car.. 69 Nova that I dubbed "Big Bertha" lmao

sterdeus 05-28-2003 05:12 PM

I'd have to see your car before I would choose a name.
I have yet to name mine.. any suggestions?

95BonnevilleSESC 05-28-2003 05:38 PM

My thunderbird was named "Grumpy".
My Lincoln is named "Stinkin'".
My Bonneville is the "Green Lantern".

bonnie94ssei 05-28-2003 05:42 PM

I'd do Crime of the Century also.

This name thing I have never thought of too much. I've always called it a "her" though.

But I'd like to hear what people suggest. I can't think...

 that is so sweet

But that's ok.. I don't want kids either.. I rather save the money and go on nice vacations and or put towards bills or moddin the car. ( we talked about this )

Cats, Dogs, Horses, and Skunks would be my kids.. you can leave them alone and not worrying about child abandement, or change their diapers.. or have to watch them 24/7. I leave that up to the poor saps out there that are stuck at home while I"m out on long weekends with my freckly bumm Muffin.. hee hee..

You know they're really not that bad.
Sure, the first 18 years can be difficult but after that there are rewards.
Your animals and even Bonne may be gone by then but then along come some more generations of grandchildren.
You will have left a real legacy.
The outcome of crossing your genes with someone else can be astounding and fulfil your bond of love.

Then there's old age....someone younger who cares....blood bonds.
Nursing homes can be very lonely for the one who dies last.

But I'm getting way ahead of you live for now, live forever, 20 year olds.....

Sorry, just my opinion. I know too many older, wish they had of's.

Oh it's not the teens i'm worried about. I can handle them just fine. It's the 0,1,2,3, up to 4s that don't appeal to me. waking up at 1am, 2am, 3am, 4am, etc, is not on my list of top 10 things to do for 4 years by the time i am 30 :?

Drifter420 05-28-2003 09:46 PM

:offtopic:

Wow.. how the hell did we get to this from naming a car..

The younger age that Muffin fears I can handle.. but maybe I should rephrase what I said.
Will I ever have kids? I don't know... Will I have a kid now?? HELL No......

Kids is something I"m not going to worry myself over at my tender age. I will leave that up for when I'm older.. when I have less urges to see the world, and do things I have yet to do that otherwise I may not have the oppurtunity to. There.. that summarizes it and makes it happy for everyone..

What :!: You're under 30 and sleeping before 1:am

I guess we were lucky. Both of our kids slept right thru and never woke us up at night.
Except the first 3 months.....breast feeding....glad I didn't have to do it.
