Car of the Month? Is there still interest?
 

We're in the process of trying to set this up, with Jim heading the program, and preparing to hand it off to another member for the long-term. 3 nominees have been chosen, and the server is set up with a rough template of the web page.

So far, the 3 nominees for this first month have been pre-chosen by Jim, with the green light from the rest of the staff. The member chosen will handle this in the future. There is one nominee from each of the major 'generations'.

The question is, are you all still interested in this program, or should it be dropped?

(edit....the three members chosen to start it off have not responded to PM's in over a week on this......this is the main reason we may have to drop it. Lack of interest).

If you are nomitated, and you're not interested, please respond so another car can be chosen, or the contest move on with 'better odds' for the other two.

I like the idea. It's a good way to represent the cars and owners that stand out. Also a good way to get others involved in the club since it keeps people comming back to see "who is it this month?".

This suprises me that the nominees have not responded...considering I have seen 2 of the 3 online this past week.

It seemed promising before the crash...lets get to it people.

This isn't the only new feature in the works, either. Hopefully a couple more will be announced later today.

I think this is a great idea. A lot of the member have some real sweet hardware out there and I for one would love to see it ---gives me ideas No wait changed my mind this could cost me a lot of money.

Just kiddin' lets do it, what else am I gonna spend my kids inheritance on?? :lol:

How are the cars going to be chosen? What content will be judged?

More info coming on that, assuming we go with the idea.

Car of the Month is intended to give everyone a fair shake..all models (ALL models) mods do not necessarily determine a COTM candidate, just an appreciation of the vehicle that you drive :wink:
