Default THEY'RE HOME!!!! =*)

It'* so bittersweet for me bc Chad didn't get to come home with them(only in spirit)... but his unit, Echo Co. 1/125th out of Big Rapids, MI returned home this last Friday afternoon with a welcome parade and ceremony at Ferris State University'* arena. I was going to attend it but decided with my mom that it was better for me to just be happy for them and try to move on, instead of putting myself through that stress and bringing myself down even more again. I'm so happy for them all. I still have one friend I'm waiting for to come home between Sept. 2nd-7th sometime. This is the home stretch for him, can't wait! Thanks to everyone in here for your support. These guys can rest easy at home with their families where the belong!

Chad isn't forgotten. I get asked once or twice a week who he was. I have his memorial decals on both sides of my green car, and also on both sides of my green car.

Chad was a good guy. We all liked him for a reason, and he'* a major source of pride the members of this forum will carry with them forever.

It would have been better to see him come home with his unit. But he DID come home, and we will honor him for his service and dedication ALWAYS.

As both a member of the Uniformed Armed Services (Army) and a member of this club, I would love to be able to give the memebers of that returning unit a hand shake and a job well done. I did not know Chad, but I know more than enough like him. I promise that there are many soldiers here in afghanistan and Iraq (did 2 tours in Iraq before this one here in the stan) that hold the thoughts of our fallen brothers and sisters in our hearts and live every day here to fullfil the pledge that they WILL NOT BE FORGOTEN! We will do our best to ensure thier passing was neather meaningless or in vain.

I hope this is not taken out of context or as inaproprate but ever sence learning of who he is and the sacrifice he and those around his life made....I felt the need to say something.....out of respect for that sacrifice......

Glad to hear they are home.

I have never served but I have the utmost respect and appreciation to all who have. Glad to hear they had such a homecoming.
As mentioned, Chad will never be forgotten.

I watched the news reports of their return. It was great to see them with their families. Unfortunately, the news has also had the reports of other soldiers from the area who will not be seeing their families again. I, for one, can tell you that Chad will never be forgotten. He is also carried in the spirit of this forum, of which he'll always be a member.

As well I'm a member of the Army and BC. I didn't know him but I send out my prayers to the family, friends, and the soldiers that served with him. I salute.
