Which came first: Chicken or Egg?
It is an age-old riddle that has perplexed generations: Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
Now British scientists claim to have finally come up with the definitive answer: The chicken.
The scientific and philosophical mystery was purportedly unraveled by researchers at Sheffield and Warwick universities, according to the Daily Mail newspaper.
The scientists found that a protein found only in a chicken'* ovaries is necessary for the formation of the egg, according to the paper Wednesday. The egg can therefore only exist if it has been created inside a chicken.
The protein speeds up the development of the hard shell, which is essential in protecting the delicate yolk and fluids while the chick grows inside the egg, the report said.
"It had long been suspected that the egg came first but now we have the scientific proof that shows that in fact the chicken came first," said Dr. Colin Freeman, from Sheffield University'* Department of Engineering Materials, according to the Mail.
"The protein had been identified before and it was linked to egg formation, but by examining it closely we have been able to see how it controls the process," he said.
Professor John Harding, from the same department, said the discovery could have other uses, according to the Daily Mail.
"Understanding how chickens make egg shells is fascinating in itself but can also give clues towards designing new materials and processes," he said.
"Nature has found innovative solutions that work for all kinds of problems in materials science and technology — we can learn a lot from them."

Being a staunch Creationalist, this is only one of a multitude of facts that point to the fact that animals just appeared. All at once, in a physically unexplainable supernatural event. There are so many species that couldn't live without another being there at the same moment in time. Add to that the enzymes and bacteria that needed to be there for them to survive, and what would happen if the checks and balances weren't all in place. All life began at once. We have lost alot of species, many species have seen both adaptive and mutative selection, but some hard facts that are still coming to light cant be explained by evolutionists. In recorded history, not one example of a new species can be found, and apes and monkeys,..... are still apes and monkeys. These earlier apes were in fact apes. Not Hominids. Neanderthal was the first man. Don't these people ever wonder why artifacts only go back to 10,000 + or - years. If a human bone is really 6 Million years old.... wouldn't all the things humans can use and create exist alongside them. Evolutionist are to busy trying to logically legitimize a theory and ignore a constant onslaught of scientific hard evidence. They rather dream up sequences of maybes to support a notion, rather then bring in accountability of all evidence. Maybe they did descend from gorilla'*. They certainly think like one.

Hmm idk, I use to try to answer that all the time but then it just always just gave me a headache so I stopped lol. The whole evolution with humans stuff is another topic I try to stay away from since I am Catholic but I'm also a science major so yeahhh that'* never a fun thing to try to understand that whole ordeal
