Now that I have your attention, I'm getting on my soapbox for the sake of the Staff of this site.

We've had alot of issues going on behind the scenes the last couple of weeks. These issues were preceded by at least a month of comfortable cruising. This is typical. Weeks of bliss seperated by a few days of stress.

Some of you are aware of the issues I'm referring to, others are not. We keep some of it hidden out of respect for other members. We could make it all public to give our decisions and actions more credibility, but we owe the members more respect than that.
We get flamed on other forums for how dedicated we are to this forum, the attitude, and it'* members. We deal with the crap you'd prefer not to see on a daily basis. And we love it.......to a point.

This is what the staff of this site deals with. It'* not easy. Now many of you will understand why we have 3 Admins, 4 Moderators, and 5 gearheads. And why some car forums are known to be 'not-so-friendly' at times. Jeff Keacher founded this site based on his principles and wishes. We strive to achieve those goals and aspirations, as well as serve the members of this site to the best of our abilities.

Now that you've seen the numbers posted above, think about the fact that each one of us have full-time jobs, and some of the staff are college students as well. And on top of that, we have families. And hobbies. And lives away from BC. Running this site could very well be a full-time job, but NONE of us receives any compensation for it. Why? Because we love our cars, we love helping people, and we consider all of you our family and friends.

There have been some recent posts by two members in particular recently, questioning the actions of the staff (the Admins in particular). I personally feel these are isolated rants by mis-informed or UN-informed members. But on the off chance that I'm wrong, I ask each of you to answer the poll to the best of your ability, and as honestly as possible. The Admins have no way of knowing how any of you voted, so your anonymity is gauranteed. I serve the members of this site first and foremost. Because that'* what Jeff would want. This site isn't about just cars any more. It'* about the people too. The club has taken on a personallity, and it evolves with every member that joins.

I invite you to publicly comment on your vote if you feel so inclined. You are also welcome to PM or email your comments offline to any Admin, or if you have comments you feel need to be kept private, you can send them to the site owner via the WEBMASTER link on the main page (click on the About The Site link at the top of the page, then Webmaster at the bottom of that page).

Your comments offline will stay offline, and are strictly confidential. Jeff Keacher will 'drop no names' if you have rants or complaints against any member of this staff. You, the members, are his primary concern. The health of this forum, and having the Staff serve your needs, is paramount.

YES. But B dont understand why Jeffrey10x2 had asked to be banned but I guess it'* none of my business and out of my league. I mean, I knew the guy personally and he helped me out A LOT... :(

The staff does an excellent job though. My only gripe is that I feel that a staff of 12 is a little thin for 2000+ members.

PS. I also voted Yes just for the awsome title of this thread!!!!

I'll go first... (Well, I was gonna be, but I type too slow )

I think you guys are doing a bangup job (that'* good). With the egos we all have vested in our vehicles and ourselves, it'* tough not to get touchy/defensive once in a while. Compared to other forums I have visited or belonged to, this place is heaven! The fueds/disputes never seem to last too long, and any concerns I have brought to the staff have been promptly responded to.

I'm not much for arguing online, so I tend to just ignore threads that seem to be heading that way, so I miss a lot of the "juicy" stuff. But, this has been the best forum/club I've been a member of in a very long time.

I want to end this rambling by wishing the best of luck to the staff. I know we've been getting a lot more attention from the "outside world", even just in the year that I've been here, which only going to make maintaining this place even more difficult.

At the risk of sounding like a brown noser, I was a personal witness to what happened, and the staff did an excellent job of keeping the drama to a minimum.

The staff does an excellent job of taking care of this board, and any concerns I have had have been promptly addressed by the moderators and administrators.

I'd like for BC to remain an open, honest place for us to spend our free and not so free time, and this involves our members hanging in there through the good AND the bad. Temporary hiatuses are necessary sometimes when things are tough in personal lives and BC drama is at a high...

Basically what I'm saying is that I'm behind the staff 100%. I am coming back from invisible mostly spectator stats to visible and posting more than once a day.

As usual, I agree completely with Christine. Most drama is kept off the part we all see, and the only reason I even know it exists sometimes is because of offhanded comments from other members. I too have been busy in my own non-BC life, and with the frustrations of the remenants of drama here, have taken a slight leave of absence from posting. That decision was what worked for me, but I'm back now too...and am looking forward to spending time on BC and hopefully, occastionally adding something to the discussion.
As has been stated, I believe that all of you do an awesome job, I have a lot of respect for the fact you are able to mantain an unbias and fair rule over the whole lot of us and commit a lot of time to this site. I think it is our job as members to make your job one of more orgainization and guidance then of being out babysitters. Something I'm sure in the future we will strive to do. Keep up the hard work, and know that there are those who truly appreciate it. --Jeanie

I used to run a few message boards, and I know how much pressure is put on the admins and mods. I have a lot of respect for the staff, because keeping the peace is not an easy thing. My boards had less than 50 members, and that was hard enough. With a board this size that is generally in good standing, I'd say they are doing their jobs well.

Keep the comments coming folks

A word to the wise: Before you think about taking a position based on a recent event or any member being banned, please be aware that there are 2 sides to every story. One may not be more right then the other, but try to remain objective when discussing potential issues, especially when discussing it with the people that were directly involved.
