Default Brakes grinding on a 99 gp gt

WHat coulld cause brakes to grind like that, ive never really worked on any grinding brakes before, but my uncle wants me to fix it for him.

Have you inspected the brakes to see if there is any brake material left on the the disk pads yet???

Sounds like there'* no pad left and you're grinding the steel behind the pad into the steel rotor.

Inspect carefully, but you're most likely at least in it for pads and rotors. Check the calipers too.
