For $380 the winner is.......Bad fuel pressure regulator, he said the diaphram was shredded, they did a few other things to, so that $380 wasnt just for the regulator. They also changed the oil, which was half gas. And cleaned my injectors, replaced the air filter which was saturated with fuel, He said fuel was all over the place in there. But he said the main culprit was the bad fuel pressure regulator. So at least its back to its good old self, actually it does run better then it did before it died on me.

Glad it was repaired! Sounds like that could have been a bad problem there, had it continued for much longer. Sorry we couldn't lead you there, though popatim did mention FPR.

The O2 replacements and other work you did will not be bad and just may save you a future maintenance issue.

The most interesting thing about this is the fact that there were never any codes or history...?!?!? I still don't know how to throw a CEL without having any record of what threw it. That is perplexing. :?

You might check the catalytic converter and the EGR valve.

Thank you for wanting to help and contribute but if you notice this thread has been dead sense 2006 and i do not advise resurecting of old threads..It just clutters up the forums..Once again thank you for willingness to help but please try not to pull up dead threads Thanks

Intake manifold. I just encountered this curse. The upper intake manifold was warped just enough to not seal to the bottom on one side

Moved from "Lounge" to "Buick"

Guessing this Buick issue was posted in the Lounge because there was no Buick section way back in the BonnevilleForum days. Since someone resurrected the thread over 17 years after it was created, I'm sorting it accordingly.
