My lil sis needs Help!
She has this dwarf rabbit (although where they got that name is beyond me). And its acting very lethargic, not eating as regularily as it used to, seems kinda sluggish and its suffering from hair loss. Her fur is falling out in clumps.
Now, some would chalk that up to old age, but, the thing isnt even two years old (human years, Earth years)...I dunno if there is a rabbit "year", anyway, she was takin to 2 vets today, that didnt have the time to see this thing. I'm not a real pet kinda guy, but my sister is worried about her rabbit.
If anyone know anything about em or medical conditions, please lemme know.
My 13 year old lil sis thanks you

Dont laugh, but can rabbits get cancer? It sounds like some type of disease, more so than a regular cold. Besides sluggish and not eating and fur falling out, does it drink? What about the eyes and the poop? Sometimes you can tell if it might of ate anything harmful, berries, plants,etc.... Is the fur falling out fast or little clumps each day?

Jim my girlfirend had 2 rabbits, they might of eaten something they should of or they could be sick. as for the hair falling out they do that twice a year I blieve but my GF;* lost hair in clumps all summer long, it was demed normal. Than one day it just was slow, cold and died after 4 human years, she was told that'* a little early too.
Probably has a cold, or something or again, ate something it shouldn't of, like paint, My GF'* rabbit Abby loved to eat the wood molding through out the house, she got sick couple times cause of it too.

Here'* what I would do:
1: Clean the cage VERY well- wash the food and water dishes, change the bedding, and scrub all the surfaces with disinfectant...be sure to rinse very well or the soap residue could irritate her skin. Keep the cage really clean so that germs can't take it over. Change the bedding when it'* dirty.
2: Give the rabbit a bath and be sure to rinse well (I have no idea how to bathe a rabbit but I'm sure it can be done). Rinsing is really important so there'* no residue. My dog gets ill if she isn't rinsed well after abath...her skin is really sensitive. She might have picked up something (chemical residue or germs or whatever) that'* lingering on her body and making her sick. I would use hypoallergenic pet shampoo, esp. any kind that'* made for pet rodents.
I would not let her run around the house without supervision either because she might be eating bad stuff or getting chemicals on her skin that way.
3: Discontinue any new foods or other new things...for instance, if you recently switched types of food, she could be having an allergic reaction. The same goes for using a different kind of bedding.
4: Feed her only things you know are OK for her- rabbit food and things she normally eats. No 'junk' type of stuff.
5: Try to make an appointment with a vet as soon as one can see the rabbit. In the meantime, note symptoms and when they started to appear, etc. so you can be prepared with your information when you take her in.
Hope everything turns out OK. I have passed this message along to a few of my animal-wise friends and am waiting to see what they'll say about it. Will post their replies when I get them.

The tumor was on its stomach and was big enough that the hamster'* legs couldnt' touch the ground.. it just rolled around on its stomach.. Then one day the tumor burst and our hamster died.
