Fun Day with a 4.3 Blazer, gaskets and Dex...
No pics, but we finally tore into my folks 99 Blazer with a LIM leak. Wasnt leaking into the crankcase yet, just seeping down the block.
New GM aluminum gaskets
Cleaned the throttle body and idle passage, IAC motor too.
replaced the FPR, dist cap and rotor, just cause they were easy to get to with everything torn out.
Refilled with green coolant and changed oil with Mobile one and AC delco filter.
Dad says it hasnt idled and ran that smooth in years, and had a fun day with my father and brother.
After working in the tight confines of a Blazer engine compartment. I have a new appreciation for our spacious engine bays.

I just helped a friend change uim and lim gaskets on a 2003 pontiac aztek w/ a 3.4. not much room there at all. the blazer would have been much nicer. It is great to have a good time working with family, all to often anymore many families don't get the opportunity to do so.
