the sim card will work on any phone for that providers network or an unlocked phone if it is a gsm provider, (nextel sims will NOT work on any other phone than nextel motorola phones because they are a iDEN network)

I have a V551 and the only complaint I have with it is battery time. I swap its sim card with an LG phone I have all the time and it works...same carrier, so it should.
Just think of sim cards as our 3800. You can only find them in GM cars, and you can swap them between GM cars...then again, anything is possible with a blowtorch and MiG welder.

Correct on the sim card. I can swap sim cards between my phone, Kim'* phone, and Katie'* phone, regardless of phone manufacturer no problem.
