Best thing that ever went wrong fixing your car

What is the best thing that ever went wrong fixing your car?

For me, it was that I broke a plug wire while replacing the spark plugs on my Bonny. On the last plug next to the firewall, I broke the wire trying to remove it. Had to go to Napa and get replacement wires. While swapping out the wires I discovered that the connector under the coil that controls cylinder number 5 was heavily corroded. This was not the plug wire I broke, but was the cause of cylinder #5 misfire.

Everything I do on my car is great, I learn with every little thing I do. Don't know if I could pick one thing over anything else.

hmmm....I was attempting to change the tire on my friend's grand prix because she had a flat and the rocker panel was so rusted that the tire changing jack fell through the metal and popped through the inside of the floor in the car.

another time, I was adding windshield wiper fluid to my dad's Chevy Astro and dumped it in the coolant on accident and had to flush the coolant system after that.

I changed the plugs on my shadow and I knew my belt was squeaking. When I went to advance I noticed they keep my warranty records I asked to see it and notice I got a free belt if I brought it in that day because it expired that day. Free $20 belt and no more squeaking

Had to change a spark plug in my 92 eclipse at the race track because something broke the tip off, the threads came out with it so I JB Welded it back in and left it for a year before the rings let go.
