Default stupid questions - spark plugs.

bear with me.

my friend wants me to help him swap out his plugs and wires. and thats cool. but ive never done it before [like a lot of stuff, sadly]. so what do i need?

well it is pretty straight forward if you get a set of wires that are pre cut for the car then just have a deep sparkplug socket and take them out then I lube the tips with dielectric grease and then put them back in and do the wires one at a time much easier to not forget one other then that nothing to it
it is easier on a cooler engine

get a few inches of vacumn hose too. stab the new plug, (not the threaded end) into the hose and use the hose to start the thread. Hose should grip tightly enough to start but if it cross threads into the head, the hose will slip on the plug and not damage the threads in the cylinder head.

5/8 socket for the plugs. Also, you can cut the spark plug wire boot off one of the old wires (part that clicks onto the plug) and use it for the idea above instead of vac line.
