Aurora Club Site

Anybody know what's up with the ACNA site?? Nobody paying the bills I guess? I'd be willing to pony up a couple of bucks to keep the site up and running, a buck or two from everyone who uses it regularly should be enough. Any news Jim?? Since I'm now into my slower season at work, anyone in the West End of the Golden Horseshoe want to hook up for an Aurora meet??

Update on this one.

The webhost has suspended our site simply because our HUGE..(lol) forum has exceeded their 10% resources limit (on their part). Anyway, I have asked for a refund on the remaining months.

For now we are re-gathering at ACNA v1.

Stay tuned there for more information.

Lets organize a Southern Ontario Aurora meet, I'm game for that....I know a ton of OBC.com members would be up for that too. We usually have an OBC thing in the summer.

Any updates Jim? I'd hate to see the board go away :(

I'm trying to find info on Aurora cooling. Someone posted a part # for the under-chin spoiler that's supposed to direct air up to the radiator for the Classic model. As mine now is running about 240 with the air on, it needs all the help it can get! Thanks very much!

nice, you must be a ham. im KB1HBA.. nice to see we have 2 interests in common

Jim W 06-10-2005 03:12 PM

Sid, that part is called the lower air deflector. And its critical to engine cooling. I suggest going to your local dealer and getting it replaced. The plastic deflector costs no more then $30 and its a DIY. You also need the plastic tab fasteners, they cost about $0.50 a piece.

I still need to delete your profile and get you to resign up.

FYI

My online time has been reduced greatly lately, but I hope to get back online more often and get every ACNA member from the now dead v2 back to v1

Thanks Jim-I was able to search on the part name and get a #. GM parts direct.com sells it for under $10!, so I've got one on the way. Thanks for the help. Hope the site, either v.1 or v.2 gets back up & running, they were very informative and helpful, also nice folks there! Thanks again!

Hi Oats, yeah, I'm a ham too. Only problem I'm having with the new aurora other than the cooling system is where I can tastefully mount my kenwood 733 and my XM radio, there's not alot of good mounts spots in that car, unlike my 93 Bonneville.

Thanks all for the help!

Sid
