Default Anyone Speak Python?

The Programming Language

I have been in a programming class this semester, which until now has pretty much been a breeze. Most of our projects the teacher has given us the almost working code, and we had to work the error out and then turn in the working code. So basically everything was givin to us.

Now our final project (Which counts as our exam) he left us out on our own. We are to write a program that opens a separate window in which we can type and address and then click a button, one of which goes to google maps, the other button launches google earth. And pulls the entered address into it. The google maps button works, I'm having trouble with the GE button. I knew how to work with the url for the google maps but I don't know to work with google earth, its an application which we haven't worked with in class. Other than the teacher showed us how to launch google earth about a week ago.

I think I have the required code all except for transferring the user input (the address) into google earth. How do tell Python to write to the search/command line in google earth?

Anyone able to help/suggest anything?

yeah. I always thought it was pretty cool what you could do but now that I have seen a bit of what it takes and how aggravating that was when something didn't work, I'm more then happy to let someone else do that job. Though I wouldn't say I hated it, some of it was fun. This was the first time they taught this course with Python, instead of C++ or VB which I'm sure would have been even more of a nightmare.

Jees, I hate programming...I took like 3 different classes in high school for programming...from Java to Web Design...never understood a damn thing about it I am a GUI user only hah...but absolutely love the other side of it all, hardware. One of my planned life paths is to have a degree in Computer Hardware Engineering and have a job at Intel or something...nothing intrigues me more.

"Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life"

So yeah, definitely can't help yah with that Will Good luck to yah with it.

to be honest, personal computing will be come much more network oriented inthe next few years with less and less hardware in the home... not the best field to get into statistics wise... but like you said, do what you love.
