I don't have an ipod but I use Kate'* (maybe its katie'*) video converter.

Lemme go check

Edit - it is Kate'*. Not sure what format the iPods use though so heres a like to all the free converters on download.com

Videora its the only real free one. I think thats how you spell it. I have used it before and it works great and I have tons of movies on mine.

Videora works great, but I don't see an option for batch processing. Any suggestions?
