Anyone like Vans? I do!

I was curious if anyone liked the vans of all models and brands. I do, I just like them, I think they can be made cool in a uncreepy way. I have plans for a lot of vans as I had them before (helps pass time in school). For a 96-99 Chevrolet Astro AWD, I would drop in a LS1 (stock) and lower the van a bit put 18 inchers all around plus upgraded brakes and a tv system in the back. I thought a 99+ Ford E350 15 passenger van would look so cool if it was painted black with small silver tribal flames on the sides while it's being bagged and laying in the weeds with 20 inchers all around and a built Powerstroke. and ditch the back row for storage space and remove the bench seats and put in captain seats in grey leather.

Anyone likey? THe question I'm really asking, you like vans in a noncreepy manner?

I think if you took a newer Astro van, the big bus kind, and put a Escalade front end on it, you'd have the ultimate road trip truck.

My buddy's family has a couple of these vans. I love 'em. They may not be the most comfortable, but the WILL get the heavy duty job done and come back for more. Great cottage mobiles.

That same buddy also showed me what he (and the van) could do on some dirt backroads. The feeling of the transition from understeer to oversteer :eek!:

My mom had a high top conversion Astro, it was the Explorer conversion then we sold it for a 2002 Chevrolet Express with the high top Explorer conversion, that was ONE BIG LUXURIOUS van. It had tan leather everywhere plus tv, DVD, VCP and game capabilities. If I were to get a van now, I would opt for the Chevrolet Astro AWD and make it clean and go camping, boating and off roading alot.

AWD's are a nightmare to fix and cost more to convert to a V8 (it all in the link i gave you)
