well i just bought a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue, thats right folks we have ourselves another Oldsmobile convert theyre gonna have to change the name of the site soon.

first impressions:

exterior: not as aggressively styled as the Bonneville in my opinion, very subtle, but subtle isnt necessarily bad, the rims are ok, i liked the 5 spoke alloys i had better, but they wouldnt let me keep em, they wouldve fit this car too...bastards....its a nice deep red...a good looking little car

interior: this car is smaller than the Bonneville...thats the first thing i noticed....but they did a good job of keeping the interior from feeling like its collapsing on you, i got in a Riviera that was there and my head was brushing the ceiling almost and it felt really small, this car is midsize but doesnt seem it when youre inside.

engine/handling: im loving the 3.5 Shortstar already, it has similar power ratings to the Series 2 NA, but it feels completely different, revs much faster and higher than the 3800 and just flat out goes..the handling is MUCH better already than the Bonneville, it feels much more surefooted than the Bonnevile, hardly rolls in corner and all , quite stiff in the corners..i like it, also since its smaller its much more agile in parking lots and stuff compared to the Bonnevile...

allright enough of the Car and Driver review, heres a couple bad pics, ill get some good ones later

Nice! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who likes the shortstar engine! That car looks nice. I look forward to more pictures. (including the interior.)

Not bad. I do like those cars. If they had more space under the hood to work on things, I'd consider one. Personally though, if I were going to get a W-bod, I'd have to go Regal, but that'* just me.

I've actually driven one of those with the shortstar, and they do have good power. I'd still take my 3800 for long term reliability though.

Hope it treats you well!

Nice looking ride...

I'm indifferent on the 3.5, though. Me, I'm 3800 blooded!

Looks good. Hopefully tha Intrigue will give you nothing but pleasure. I think there is actually a body kit for those which looks rather decent if you are into that. I looked into one of the 3800 powered ones a while back to do a L67 swap into and I actually liked the pretty well. Good luck with it and hope you stick around.
