Waiting to hear from Jrs3800, he left the state tho, to stay with friends, had to leave a Bonneville behind

The simple act of driving out with all that traffic is bad enough. I could call Don, but I won't while he's on the road. He'll check in with us by phone or here when he gets to W VA.

Others are posted here in the lounge.

I spoke with Don on the phone today from the top of the Space Needle in Seattle (to cheer him up). He's pretty bored. Just waiting for the green light to go home and check for damage.

I feel bad for ya Don... Hope all is well

crzydmnd72 09-05-2004 11:40 PM

Well Don, its sure good that you werent in its path, I have been watching on and off when I can. Seeing some of that stuff live sure amazes me, and I live here in tornado magnet Oklahoma LOL. I hope you were spared, damage-wise too.

Now if Ivan wil pick somewhere else to visit....

Princess Jeanie 09-06-2004 09:45 AM

Yeah, where is Ivan heading? I've been keeping an eye on Frances and am glad it's finally moving on, although that means other people are going to have to deal with it.

willwren 09-06-2004 11:23 AM

Keep us updated, Don. And take a gas can back with you!

willwren 09-06-2004 08:12 PM

Do you have power at the house? Any way to find out? If you do, I'd grab a bit o gas, and head back home.

I stayed home and we received minor damaged, lots of trees down, one missed the Bonny by inches  gust winds up to 60 mph in Ocala with lots of rain....
We were without power for three days, clean-up started today and I am keeping an eye  on Ivan (Category 4, 140mph winds) tracking shows possibility of south Florida by Monday AM. I hope that skips us and goes to the gulf of mexico....we need a break

This sure has been a rough year for you Floridians! I hope Ivan just goes in another direction (like back where it came from)

aviator327 09-08-2004 07:48 PM

Have a safe trip home Don and let us know you got home okay.
