yup its true.
I always thought of the Ford Taurus SHO as a good competitive car for the Bonneville SSEI IMO
both have 4 doors both have great motors
Only thing I wish the Bonneville had that the SHO had was a 5 speed manual trans
anyways in a nut shell.
But then...I still plan on blowing away the news ones to...he he he
Fords still suck!

Hmmmmm. WHY, does it take two turbos to make a paltry 355 HP??? And only 355 for a High End SHO??? That use to mean something. But in the performance scheme of things. 500 HP has been eclipsed as a benchmark. Ford better 'pony up" or this ones lost before it starts.

I liked the older SHOs.
My friend'* cousin worked in a garage, and he had an SHO that was basically dead, the transmission couldn't go past 2nd gear and it was rusted out. So he took the rev limiter out and brought it to a parking lot to do donuts.
The engine'* true redline [without the limiter] is somewhere around 8K rpm. It was SO loud :]
But they seemed to go downhill as years went by. And this new one doesn't seem to be anything too special..

i agree on a TT with only 355hp... where did they go wrong on that one? the Porsche 911 TT makes 455hp and thats with a small FLAT 6-cyl and minimal boost... so how is it that a "HO" TT V-6 makes 100hp less? cuz ford sucks HAHA

You need to remember the SHO is a "poor mans" BMW M5. It does what it needs to for its price point. Also we all know tuners will "tune" it.

Hardly a poor man'* sports sedan any longer. In today'* economy it will be interesting to see how many folks walk in and 'Pony up" (hehehe) to it'* $38,000 base. Didnt work out so well for GM with our own GXP. No kudo'* for Ford for the V-6 BTW, it'* a Yamaha 3.0L clone Ford is stuffing in everything it seems these days.
