This will be impossible but it might just be one out there but does anyone know if you can get a warrenty on an 11 year old car? And if so ccan i get 1 year out of it?

The cost of getting a warranty after you have owned a car for x amount of time will be next to impossible. Even if, the cost would be outrageous for only one year. Maybe even more then the necesary work that has to be done to your car,

Spend your money wisely and fix what HAS to be fixed and do what you can yourself. OR get a new car and deal with that warranty

i found one. it is for 88 and newer vehicles and for nothing over 180,000 miles.

Engine: All internally lubricated parts of engine, includes pistons, piston rings, piston pins, crankshaft and main bearings, connecting rods and rod bearings, camshaft and camshaft bearings, timing chain, timing gears, intake and exhaust valves, valve springs, guides, oil pump, push rods, rocker arms, hydraulic lifters and rocker arm shafts. The Engine Block and Cylinder Heads are also covered if mechanical failure was caused by the above-listed parts. (Does not include any other part other than what is supplied in the Long Block Assembly.)

Transmission: All internally lubricated parts of manual or automatic transmissions, including: torque converter, oil pump, valve body, governor, bands, drums, planetaries, sun gear and shell, sprag(*), shaft(*), bearings and related bushings, shift rail, forks, synchronizers, transmission case, bell housing, oil pan(*) and all internally lubricated parts of the 4X4 Transfer Case. Damage resulting from failures by related parts or units such as but not limited it to: levers, controls, linkage, radiator, coolers, rubber and malice, external oil lines and electronic components external to the transmission are not covered.

I wouldn't, not with these cars. You haven't had any major internal work, just a motor mount, and some small things go bad from what i remember steve. If anything happens you, or someone in the chi-town area will most likely be able to fix it on your own, or with our help.

Take the value of the car and compare it to the value of the warranty, I just don't see it :?

i agree, but theres always a catch with a used vehicle warrenty, or maybe its cuz i always break the stuff thats not covered. but i will never buy a car without a warrenty, it'* my perverbial "security blanket!!!"
