I don't think they could ever be done without having the sidewalls there. Even if the sidewalls were just there to keep crap out from between the rims and the tread.

They're going to have to cover the sidewall, Just for the consumers who don't like change. But they're awesome.

I don't think it would offer the traction needed and I'm sure it would get gunked up with snow and mud. Seems more of a fad like the spinners are.

Thats why you dont see low profiles and spinners being driven in the snow and mud from smart and respectable drivers
