87-91 Still a target?
One of my teachers at school owned a white '89 Bonneville SSE, in absolute MINT condition. Not a scratch, tinted windows, 132,000 original KM'*. She absolutely loved that car.
About a week ago it was stolen! If it were some joy-riding teens or something, it usually pops up within a few days but it has not been found, or reported anywhere. Am I the only one who finds it hard to beleive a theif would be in the market for an 87-91 Bonne? I know mine was broken into 3 times in it'* prime (never successfully stolen ), but stealing a 16 year old car? Wow...

It could happen. Around the nearby cities certain cars are targeted from time to time because someone needs parts. They steal the car, gut everything they want and dump it somewhere. Usually takes a week or two to be called in to the cops.
Although I agree, the bonne parts are probably common enough. It'* possible they nabbed it because of the condition.

The front split drive shaft was stolen off of my Sonoma awhile back while it sat in the driveway one night. Were a town of 5500 people. Cops said there was a couple other reports of stolen parts, figured someone had a list and was going around collecting parts. Stupid, why steal a part you can get at a j/y for $20.

That'* nothing. A Senior last year had the UGLIEST Cavalier.. no clue on the year, but it was an old one. Rusted to bits, guy spent half his time driving trying to start it. Somebody stole that POS. Never recovered it, nothing. Probably fell apart on the drive to wherever. Cars don't get stolen too often here, but they get broken into all the time. Break a window, steal whatever is in the car, and leave. It'* stupid, but whatever.
Also, it is the older ones they attack, because they usually don't have an alarm. However that '89 has an alarm.. not sure how they got the car to start with it though. They must have known what they were doing, or the alarm didn't work.
