Default Clipping dog claws

Does anyone have a good way to keep a hyper dog calm long enough to clip all his nails?

if you cover his eye, he will stop moving, trying to see where he is, the thing is to cover his eye.

We inherited a 3yr old american bulldog that had never been clipped. Showed him the clippers, let him smell them, pretend we cut ours, and then pretend to cut his (yeah, I know, agreat americas funniest clip). A few days of this and then one per day to get him used to it. Alot of patience to get him comfy. Holding 93 pounds of nervous pooch didn't work.

My dog is a PITA when it comes to the nail thing as well...Usually I'll hold her down until she has no more strenth, which takes some serious patience!!! BTW, I own a Huskey/Lab mix and the stubborn attitude is out the roof!!!

I pay $6 to have my dogs nails trimmed. I am too scared I would cut them too short or something. It is money well spent (for me at least).

Tell him to stand still, grab paw, use dremel with sanding drum. Repeat on each paw.
