ya the sniper rifles that are 50'* don't have that bad of a kick but you feel it if you didn't position it right had one guy break a colar bone trying to be a smartarse

OK, I guess there is that.

.50 Cal rifles are amazing. I've shot one before, just felt like a decent shove. Not a kick like other rifles have.

Also, I'm fairly certain that the story is false, but it'* good to have as a pick-me-up. Makes the general public feel good about what we are doing over there.
