Default new rotor impressions and a couple questions

first of all i dont like posting this kind of material in the lounge, but since its not Bonneville related i feel it doesnt meet the requirements to be posted elsewhere, if a mod or admin thinks otherwise please let me know.

i love my new rotors! they just are a big improvement over stock, the confidence level is much higher...as before it was "omg can i stop?!" now its "yeah i can stop"....and i notice a big improvement in high speed braking as well, you know when you get on the brakes fairly hard at anything say about 80mph? and theres kind of a feeling that you arent really slowing down? that is pretty much gone!

now on to some concerns, what kind of heat should these babies be putting out? it doesnt drive like the calipers arent releasing, if one caliper was hung it should pull to one side and it doesnt, if both were hung there should be a noticeable performance loss, and there isnt one.

while testing the high speed element, i got on em pretty hard running about 95-100, after doing several low speed stops and stuff earlier...and then i pulled into a driveway and got out to check up on things.....the first thing that greeted me was the smell of hot brakes, and ther was actually some smoke coming off the right one...now i have theory as to why this is, there was alot of junk on the rotors from my hands that i couldnt seem to get to come off, such as grease and fingerprints and stuff like that, so im thinking thats what was burning.

but then i had another scenario, i had been driving less than 30mph the whole way back down my gravel road(about 4-5 miles) and then i came to a complete stop after pulling in my driveway to shut our gate back, i still noticed a hint of hot brake smell when i put my nose next to them, so i touched the caliper, warm, but not bad, then i touched the rotor....ow...i thought "ok maybe its just one side"...went over to the other side, caliper...warm...rotor....ow.

so i drove the rest of the distance down my driveway (about 3/10 of a mile) going less than 10 mph the whole way and i didnt once touch the brakes, not even to park the car, i used the e-brake and kept it in 1st...when i got out, they were still hot to the touch...is it normal for them to retain heat that long?

Totally, especially if they are not drilled or slotted or anything.
