I just got this error when coming back into this forum

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database

What happened? I am on a cable modem

I think it was due to the 7 people that all replied to Dave'* thread at once, you know, the one about all the people online? And look at who all it affected...me too BTW, lol.

The server crashed out and rebooted would be my guess....

In my experiences, that message comes up when the server'* off line.
