Gotta love the irony, though, eh? Using DRYER duct to induce COLD air. It works, though, anything you can do to force air into the filter area is well worth it, especially cold air.

If you're running an aftermarket intake with an exposed or even sheilded cone, it'* even more important. A positive pressure of cold air will keep some of the engine-heated air from being able to get in there.

Well, as BonneMeMN said, I would not remove the MAF screen. I would suggest going for a custom CAI setup, preferably with a heat shield. That would be my first move. An exhaust may help your power situation slightly, but, IMO, it is more for the improvement of your exhaust note. (Assuming it needs any improvement at all.) That'* just my opinion.

I've driven a GA GT for a while. You ever notice that they guzzle gas a lil quicker than an SSEi?

Bonne gas tank = 70.0 Litres

Grand Am GT'* are very quick. But like someone said, it all depends on the driver. Car wise, both have a very good chance of winning. I am not sure but I think the older model gt'* are 3.5 with ram air and the newer model are 3.8 with ram air. The new gt'* have nut, so u have a pretty good chance of winning because u have a 3.8, but again that ram air is a factor, just cross your fingers, and if u get beat, it'* cool.
