How to know when the heat needs to be turned up
I thought it would be fun to see what other people know when to turn the heat up in their house.
Mine, I have two ways. One is when i turn on my lamps (I have two) and you can feel the room getting warmer already, I checked to see if the furnace was blowing hot air and it WASN'T!!
The second way is when my ********* are the size of beans.
Ladies, you don't need to tell us men how you know when its' cold, we already know

too much information!!!
I have a vent right next to me... if it ain't blowing enough air and I'm cold, time to turn it up. My room is also the warmest room in the house (almost directly above the furnace in basement), so if I'm cold, EVERYBODY is cold.

my dorm room is freaking hot!!!! i have the window open 75% of the time. even when its snowing outside...... any my mom keeps the furnace on like 300 deg cause its freaking hot in her house.... hay what ever she the one paying the gas bill not me.

I keep the heat at 68* in the winter and at 74* in the summer. My bills stay pretty low that way. If I get cold I will put on some slippers or cover up with a down filled throw.

65* during the day, 5x* at night in winter. I like cool sleeping. I have windows open and fan on high, even during 20* weather. It'l get a little colder when i'm drunk.

Well dont really use the furance just the wood stove. Its usually pretty cold when there is not a fire going. wood is way cheaper to heat with this winter.

This applies more to work for me since our shop normaly doesn't break 60degrees; but we have a natural gas well on the property we get our gas from we just can't over draw on it.
When I open the doors on a CNC machine to feel all the heat in there even though the machine holds 20+ gallons of coolant in it. (a new machine of ours holds 80+ gallons )
When I have to get a bucket of hot water to hold my arms in when I have some down time.
