2004-05 Chevy Impala SS

Anyone had a chance to drive one? I am talking about the 3800 s/c, NOT the 2006 V8. I have only gotton a chance to drive the Base model and an LS a long time ago, and they seemed pretty nice. I was wondering for those who have been behind the wheel of an 04-05 SS, what you thought? Is the ride pretty jarring, is it comfortable enought for a long trip? And pretty much anything else.

I owned 3 of them a 03 base a 00 LS and a 04SS while there not the Bonneville there likley the next best thing...

for information check out www.naioa.com

that place is to the Impala as BC is to the bonneville

06 LTZ 04-05 still had the 3.8 old body style

when the new body style arived the LS was dumped to base the LTZ replaced the LS and the SS well no S/C i still think the new style impys are butt fugly

My uncle has one. Its quite the performer. The power is pretty raw and untamed, would make a definite "fun" car. Can't handle the interior though. Hence my general "pass on it" approach.

I agree with Jim on the Interior aspect..im not a huge fan of the design.
However, the car itself is VERY good looking, exhaust looks good, fog lights suit it...
SS Supercharged Impalas are kinda rare as well...however, I would own one, There was one here that I would of bought had I of not had my SSEi, 04 with 5600 kms on it...basically...it was new..still
:D

sat in a 06 SS it didnt even have a cup holder

I'll take the LS4 over the L67, it's actually lighter. V8 with a nice exhaust setup, and some work for the upper RPM powerband... = Add a turbo, and yeah..

(this reminds me, i need to Drive Jim's 'Rora again to hear that roar..)

04-05 interior as mentioned above, a huge turnoff. I love the new GM cockpits however, the radios and HVAC are WORLDS ahead of anything GM has made.

I'll agree there. But Ang was sitting in the passenger seat, she said "hrm, there is a plated "silver" chalkboard in front of me...."
