2002 Mailbu with evap code
 

How do I start trouble shooting this it keep comig back. The gas cap is on tight. How do I start troble shooting this. I got no where on the maiblu site ther dealer could fix it.

after a year and a half, i've noticed on 2000 or newer chevy malibus / impalas / monte carlos.. the seals on them start to degrade (brother had to get two gascaps on his 01 monte ss in between '02 and '06 because it popped that code twice

That is what I was thinking thier was kind of fuel smell around that area.
