Ok, me and my buddy are replacing the engine in his 73 sprint. It has the original 350 which we are replaceing with a rebuilt one. This is my first engine swap, I was just wondering if anybody could give me any tips on where i should start first or any problems i might run into.

Pretty cool vehicle. Same chassis as the Chevelle and GTO (A body) A lot of room in them as I remember. Pretty cut and dry/in and out. Mark and remove the wiring/swap/put wiring back.

Awesome car/truck. What shape is it in ?? They only made 5000 in '71 and today it is certainly in the "rare" category. They made an "SP" trim version with the 454 in it. None were produce for Dealer stock, you had to special order it. 15 of them exist today actively registered.

Its in very good shape for how old it is. It still runs with the original engine that just turned over to 200,000 today, it has a new trans though. We put new rear air shocks in it and new ignition parts, the only problems are the rear quarters are rusting out along with some spots in the frame. But the entire front end doesnt have a bit of rust and still has a nice gloss to the paint, no dings or dents and bumpers are still solid no pitted chrome.
