10hr. days

Today was my first day of 10 hour work days that will last though September at least. Today I repaired a timber wall and replaced 8; 600lb. Balsoms ( pine tree). How long do you guys usually work?

I put in about 42 hours a week or so. Usually at 5 pm there is nothing left of me but a memory. I don't like to hang around work past 5

Hey, i just started working for Felder Electric! start around 7 at the shop, get to the site around 8 hopefully, and quit around 4-4:30 on a normal day, but last friday we didn't leave till after 6.

Wish I didn't have to do as much on ladders like this though... Maybe i should do landscaping lol..

I usually put in 30 or so hours of work and 40 hours of school. This week I only worked 3 days and I hit overtime  two days working doubles (15 hours each day 10AM-1AM) and another 11 hour day (4PM-3AM)made me pretty tired by the end of the weekend. I actually hit overtime just working 3 days.. pretty amazing. lol.

Needless to say, i like a regular weekday job compared to my previous part time engagements.

I run a bowling center. During the regular bowling season, I usually put in 8-10 hours a day, 6 days a week. Sometimes I work 7 days depending on what tournaments and / or special events are going on. During the summer, I usually put in about 45 hours as business isn't as grand, but I do a lot of sales calls to get more business in, so the summer months CAN be more hectic than the regular season.

The 8-10 / 6 days isn't the end of it during the season -- I also bowl 2 nights a week, so I "work" while I bowl, too ... if any customers need anything, I'm right there.

A normal day starts at 6:15am and I go home for dinner with my family at 4:30pm. No breaks and 1/2 hr for lunch.....and I'm busy every minute of it.
Once a week a machine goes down for maintenance work and I'll stay until 8:pm.
Just finished a week long shut working 5:30am to 8:30pm.
Some weekends I go in for 4 hour paperwork catch ups.
I'm salary, non union, so I get a fixed monthly income with no overtime pay.
Most companies expect you to work at least 15% overtime with no extra pay. I shows motivation and helps with career advancement.....or future employment.

.......they say, that's why I get the big bucks.
