Child predator arrested at Ohio Statehouse
During deliberation over sexual predator laws...anyone smell set-up? I'm glad they caught the guy, but I think the fact that they set it up like that for publicity is disgusting.

No, no, wrong read guys. I'm not upset that he made the news, or that they lured him, or anything like that. I'm upset that they went out of their way to set him up AT THE STATEHOUSE, specificly to GET publicity for themselves. It'* a self-congratulatory, grand-standing stunt.
A couple weeks back, the local mayor caught hella crap for doing a graffiti-painting PR thing. The reason he got crap was that his office told maintainence crews NOT to paint over graffiti in that neighborhood, JUST so he could have something to paint over to make his little points with the public.
I'm disgusted by this kind of political grandstanding. Yes, set him up, get him off the street, but don't use it as a PR or political ploy. Just do the damn job.
