Who's here from the old club?

Or is it easier to ask who's not here from the old site?
As you can tell, i haven't been around for quite a while, so Hello again

Son found this site the other night when i was changing the belts and couldn't remember how i got around the idler pulley (next to motor mount) the last time i did it. Poor kid, just as he came out with a print out, i was sliding the belt through after loosening the upper right bolt on the engine mount. He just sighed and crumpled the paper. Told him how great it was that he found this site. So it was all good.

gp1 Now get off my lawn! :rkr

Hey Greg hows it going?

Theres actually a lot of old members here and few new faces to. This Forum is way better than the old club. Has a wealth of information and has a great staff to work with.

I see you joined here this month, but what was your old username?

When you get a chance update your siggy and let us know what year make and trim level you have so we can better help you in the future.

Welcome to the Bonneville Forum Greg!

-Todd

Thanks,

Sorry, Old user name was OlegeezSSEi or GeezerSSEi something like that, my avatar was Carl from "Slingblade". Umm Huh.

Will update my sig and mod list in a bit. But you're right about the new place, looks great.

Again, thanks y'all for the warm welcome. (anything warm is a big plus around here right now).

Danthurs 12-16-2009 07:09 AM

Thanks Black Pearl,

The Black Bonnys are the best, but wore out 12 chamois and polishing clothes on my ole 94. Was still shining like a diamond when the tow truck pulled it out of the ditch. i'll bet it's still the shineist car in the bone yard. ;}

welcome back to the forum Greg! Enjoy

PDM started as a joke. A bunch of the members made one or two of something and started talking like they were a company. Putting their last name and Motorsports after it. Being that the whole Barney thing was going on and a big joke, and since I was working on lots of cars and making some parts for people etc I decided to joke around more.

Purple Dino Motorsports was born as a joke and kinda stuck. A buddy make the logo for me and presto.. It's been a running joke since. Makes people look twice at th sig pic..lol these days I'm on Intense's site as a recommended installer and have been doing lots of work out of the garage in my free time, helping out friends.

GXP Venom 12-16-2009 08:49 AM

Same ole Forum Geez, only the names were changed to protect the innocent. And Staff to protect the sanity of members. :w3

Think harder about your old username and I'll bring it up and reset it. Those 2 you mentioned didn't work, and 15,000 usernames is alot to blindly search through.

BillBoost37 12-16-2009 10:18 AM

I think I remember OldGeezer..lol

Toddster 12-16-2009 11:41 AM

lol Bill

Love "colorful" history lessons. Won't make any jokes about it, since GM has decided that we're all driving dinosaurs now.

Hey, if you're making money at somehting you know well, are good at and really enjoy ........does it still count as work? :thumbup2

There's times when it becomes over bearing.

I know i had the old name in my old inbox on my old HDD on my old puter. Arrrrgh! Bill's right again!!!

If i think of it, can you pull up the avatar image as well? Or the properties of the pic i used in my sig line? I loved that pic of old Silver Horse (head on, at bumper height). She got pretty beat up in our May 8 inland hurricane and haven't had the bucks to put her back to "sexy" yet.

Then technically, it's still a job. :w3

GXP Venom 12-16-2009 02:14 PM

Let me look. If I find the ole profile, the avatar and sig would be intact, unless you broke the signature link. It isnt kept on our server. If I find it, I will reset the password, send that to you under present username. Login with it, change to your own, and then I will disable your present one.

Hi Greg!

Welcome to the forum! The one nice thing about having Alzheimer is that you make new friends every day! That and you can wrap you're own Christmas presents and still be surprised Christmas morning. :D

geez53ei 12-16-2009 06:57 PM

Thanks Venom,

If it gets to be a hassle, forget about it. I hate causing people pain (unless it's some punk in Stang GT who thinks he can show off in front of his freinds. Only to find out that the Old Geezer is not driving granma's la sabre).

LOL,
The only reason i have optimism anymore is because i forgot all the bad stuff i've seen from our fellow men.

Its not really that bad, but i try not to leave the house without ID. ya never know :w3

Thanks for the welcome.

Greg (5'-10", 155#, brown hair, gray beard. if i look dazed just point me back to the Bonnie w/ Silver Horse tags. It all comes back when my butt hits the leather).br2

I don't go lookin' for trouble, but yeah it feels good when ya let them catch up and see the back of their head because they won't look your way. The white knuckles and death grip on the wheel are always a dead give away though.

Danthurs 12-16-2009 11:51 PM

I laugh at mustangs. My SSEi eats Mustangs and poops pintos.

No Pain, I love to dig. Can you remember a thread you started for search purposes?
