Default Introducing......

Hello, My name is BrianJ and I have owned 3 SSE"* since 1989. My first was a 1989 SSE gray, then a Gold 1994 SSEi and now I own a 2000 White SSEi. I would like some engine mods that are easy to install by a layman and can still increase horsepower from my current 240HP stock. My 1994 SSEi is currently for sale. She'* pampered and garaged with 151,000 miles on her! Hope I can get some great performance tips from fellow Bonny owners.

Hey welcome. There is a wide variety of things you can do to your car to make some more horsepower. It all depends on your budget.

Just a few of the many places to go for performance parts.

Thanks. I heard about the pully mod. Seems easy and inexpensive but is there more to it to gain the HP besides changing the pully? Does the computer need to be reset or will there be any cooling or exhaust mods needed as well?

Say you drop to a 3.4" or 3.5" pulley. You will want to have a good flowing intake, a 180* thermostat, colder spark plugs, and possibly a high flow cat. By not doing these things you can run in to serious problems. If you choose not to do the pulley, simply opening up your intake and exhaust will give you some decent gains.
