Hi All,

Last August, I bought a 2001 Bonneville SE (Lt. Bronzemist Metallic) with 45k on it. The car is good so far. However, it does have some quirks to it which I am hoping that you guys can help me with. I am from upstate NY, Watertown to be exact and I enjoy working on cars and especially detailing.

As for the quirks, about 3 months ago, when I back out of the driveway and put the car in drive for the first time most days, when I attempt to accelerate, the car will hesitate and then lurch forward. It only happens sometimes and for the first drive of the day. I have not changed the tranny fluid and filter. However, the fluid is a nice red color and full when checked. Otherwise, the tranny shifts fairly well. Anyone have any thoughts?

Also, I have a couple of miscellaneous noises coming from under the car while driving that I am unable to discern where they are coming from. Hopefully, next spring I will crawl under the car and be able to give you guys a better idea of the type of noise and where it is coming from (at least front or back).

Thanks for any input,

01Bonny

Welcome..

Please post up your issue in the 2000 mechanical section for better visibility..

Meanwhile..dab that fluid on a clean white rag or paper towel. It'* probably no where near as clean as you think it might be.

Welcome to the site. I suggest having the trans filter changed. If you can do it your self, there is a write up in the tech info area.

Thanks for the welcome! Yah, it can get kind of cold and snowy here. As for lonely, not really. Just depends on who you know.
