Hello everyone My names michael or mike i live in Texas and when i was growing up i always had this thing for muscle cars but as time when on those cars started to change and when i finally was able to drive there were so many cars that were discontinued that i had liked so somehow my interest toward muscle well just faded away but later on i got my first car it was a 1995 pontiac grandprix one of the best cars i had then as time passed i got my bonneville 2001 se its a great car and i fell in love with it ever since the luxury smoothness power one hell of a car.

I didn't know this site existed otherwise i would of probably had been here sooner lol but anyway i have a few problems im having and maybe you could direct me on where to post it but i'll ask anyway recently my blower in the car has been making this loud noise when i have the fans on high? i dont know what it could be unless its going out and the next one is my traction control system doesnt kick in especially in wet weather i just start hydro plaining and this started to happen just recently and the last one is the service engine light keeps coming on and off at random times then it will stay on but i take it to autozone and they say its just the emissions? and a side question if you dont mind but i changed the radio on the car and the chimes are gone this by any chance doesnt affect the systems monitor But other than that everything else seems to be doing good.

This picture was before i did the mods i dont have any on this computer but i'll probably upload some later on.

Check the tech info area, there is a write up on changing the blower motor. It'* a easy thing to do.

Check your wheel spin sensors, they might need to be replaced, again, a easy thing to do.

Chances are the codes are a misfire, these will give a flashing SES light and then go away. Changing plugs and wires will fix this most of the time.

Hi Mike!

Please add your year and trim of your vehicle to your signature line. That way when you start asking questions in other areas of the forum, we all have a better idea on how to assist you. Click on "Quick Links" above, go down to "User Control Panel" and then click on "Edit your Signature" It'* pretty straight forward from there.

We are here to help you find and fix those pesky little problems. Please post mechanical issues in the 2000-2005 Thread and electrical issues in the Everything Electrical area.

Hello, Mike. 2000 and newer GM cars have the chimes going through the radio. I think it'* called the CAN bus. There are adapters available, and I believe you use one to hook up your old radio in parallel.

Do some searches around here; having a '97, I'm no expert on the subject.
