Hello there folks!

New to this forum, but not new to automotive forums in general. Looks like a good group of people with a large collection of knowledge.

I am the proud owner of a "new to me" 2005 Bonnie SE. Its been around the block a time or two with 175,000 miles. Only paid $4900 for it, and it was owned by a local business man who put over 1000 miles a week on it. She still looks brand new, and only came with a few problems. I got this car for my fiance who previously owned a Grand Prix...and she LOVES it! She will love it even more once I get the gremlins sorted out.

I have already replaced the rear shocks with Monroe air ride shocks, and put new brakes on all four corners. Pretty easy work...all in all only took 3 hours from start to finish. The front struts are "ok" for now, but will be next on the list after I work out a couple more problems.

The problem I have posted here about is a lack of power windows/locks/mirror on all doors except the driver door. I have checked all fuses/etc. and found no problem. Also looked for corrosion in the joint under the driver seat, and checked grounds. I have on ongoing thread here looking for answers.

Another problem I noticed after the purchase is a slight shudder on the 1-2 shift at low throttle setting. Its REALLY slight...so slight, my fiance does not notice it. From what I have read I need to replace the 1-2 clutch pack. Is that the only fix? Would a shift kit help? Any transmission additives that might help? Thread started here for this issue.

As to the shudder, a shift kit would most likely only make it more noticable... it would mainly stiffen the shifting, make it shift quicker and harder so the shudder would prolly feel worse. However it might get fixed if you were to replace the filter and fluid while the pan is off. Usually in a small problem like that a simple service could be the best needed solution.

Ill let the others chime in and see if they have any other thoughts.

You have the year and model of your car in your signature, and you are posting your issues in the correct areas, so you obviously looked around the site and did some research before jumping in. Did you start a thread on the tranny shudder? If not, get one going and we will get the right people to get you some direction.

I'm the Kevin on staff and I have only one thing to say... I was stable until I came here! Might I add...stability is not the balance between to opposites, it'* the ability to stay in one state or another - good or bad!
