Newbie to Bonneville-Ville
Hello,
I just picked up a 60,000 mile 1995 SLE, white w/grey leather...so far I love it. Very spunky yet cushy ride... Any suggestions on light performance mods to wake the old girl up a little? Not looking for a race car...just maybe some exhaust and air intake ideas...do these cars resopond well to mods? Naturally aspirated 3800 engine. Looks like a very nicely set up and informative message board you all have here... I'm a 12+ year Mustang 5.0 veteran... From 10 second street strip cars, to magazine feature cars, to a nice 4 door Bonnie...lol... Finally decided to grow up.....just a little anyway ;) Just wanted to say hey... Bob |
92-00 Civic intake pipe, K&N RX-4750 or E-1009, Magnaflow F-Body Muff, 180* Stant.
Clean the TB, Flush the Rad, Consider flushing the trans. That'll do. |
great, welcome to the SLE family.......you will love the car.........with an rice pipe and exhaust will really make the car sing, watch the coolent level tho....the upper intake sometimes fail on the Series II, but with 60K you should be fine
and welcome again...SLE brother |

According to the reciepts, the coolant was just flushed and filled...I hope to service the transmission in the next few weeks though, (just got the car a few hours ago, lol) One thing I did see on the reciepts that impresed me...it's had synthetic oil for most of it's life...Thanks for the tips so far... :D |

WElcome to the club!!
Check out the tech info article about first mods.....That'll get you started. Now if you go and get a flowmaster 80 series or a magnaflow muffler, with the K&N filer you'll have that baby screamin. BTW get the muffler for a F-Body to get the right dual outlet muffler. |
welcome to the club

I've read alot of people suggesting the F Body muffler, but at work in a generic Walker exhaust book, they have several different applications for F-Bodys...from 1967 to present...I need to know what year muffler should I ask for, if anyine knows...Thanks in advance... |
Flowmaster 80 Series or the Magnaflow F-Body muffler (I beleive there is only one). Which one is a personal preference. Here is an excellent resource for getting you started with the basic intake/exhaust mods by BonneMeMN.
